Mandi Kelso - Executive Director

Mandi joined Parsons House in the Summer of 2018 as Care Coordinator and was recently promoted to Executive Director. She and her family recently relocated to the Houston-area from Boise, Idaho. Mandi is married with two children, and a menagerie of pets that include a pig, two cats, a hedgehog, and a parrot named Goose. Mandi is a dedicated and focused patient care advocate, who continuously strives to improve and find new ways to manage our resident’s care. She is committed to our resident’s quality of life and personal growth. When away from Parsons House, you will find Mandi spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring Houston.

Betty Hayner - Office Supervisor

Betty is a graduate from Belhaven University with a degree in Business Management. She comes to us with a background as an executive assistant doing accounting related work for the past 12 years. Betty was looking for a career change when she found Parsons! She now gets to interact with the sweetest residents who visit her desk daily. She still uses her accounting skills, making sure the books are correct and the staff gets paid! On her off time, she enjoys trying new things, antique shopping, and spending time with close family and friends, including her first new grand-baby.

Michelle Smith - Care Coordinator

Michelle has been with Parsons House Cypress for two years and worked for the previous owner for four years. She had fallen in love with the residents and loved working with them as a care giver and med tech, so she was thrilled to continue her career at the same community. As a caregiver, Michelle was always on the go! You’d see her in one part of the building with one resident and in the blink of an eye she was in a different hall with a different resident. Her quick response time, her obvious heart for the residents, and her intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the med room made her the perfect choice as our Care Coordinator, working hand in hand with our Assisted Living Director, Lina. Six years ago, Michelle was a stay at home mom caring for her own three children and her niece and nephews. Once everyone was grown, she began her career to fill the empty spot! Other than being with the residents, she now enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren!

Michael Henley - Dining Service Director

Michael Henley brings 30 years of experience to our team. Michael graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in 2005. For the past 15 years, he has been involved in high end catering around the country. His past includes operations as Abuso Catering, Café Natalie Catering, and the famous Jackson and Company Catering, where Micheal was the Executive Chef. Michael oversaw all of the Gala’s and Ball’s in the Houston area and presidential dinners and political events. Michael also worked with Wolfgang Puck at Wolfgang Puck and Catering, where Michael had the opportunity to participate in events such as the Grammy’s, Oscar’s, and even President Obama’s inauguration.

Michael spends his free time enjoying life with his family. Together they enjoy traveling to see family and spending time at the beaches.

Rebecca Seamon - Resident Service Director

Rebecca was born and raised in a little town in Gold Hill, NC. As a kid, she loved to help in the garden and help with the cows. Rebecca has five children, ages ranging from 16 to 24. Rebecca is an animal lover who has adopted two dogs. One is a greyhound, and the other is a mixed breed pup. She loves to read everything but romance novels. She also enjoys jigsaw puzzles. Rebecca is a genuine people person who has been working with seniors for over ten years, and she loves every bit of it. There is not a day I wouldn't say I don't like coming to work. I love what I do!

Amanda Mash - Assisted Living Director

Our Assisted Living Director, Amanda Mash, is a certified assisted living manager with a background in physiology and microbiology. She is from La Porte, TX and volunteered with Parsons House growing up. She is passionate about caring for seniors and treating the person as a whole, not as a disease. She has been in the senior living industry for four years and got her start in activities. She is married and has four sons. Amanda enjoys spending time with the residents and learning all about them and the exciting lives they have lived. She also enjoys taking her sons fishing and being involved in outdoor activities.

Shannon Phillips - Maintenance Director

Shannon Phillips is a Busy Bee in every aspect of the word! Since joining Parsons House Cypress in July of 2017, she has worked as a Dietary Aide, Caregiver, Housekeeper and now our Maintenance Director. Shannon is full of energy, and has a “let’s get it done” positive attitude. She is always willing to help others and is the first to go far and beyond for our residents. On her off time, she enjoys relaxing, watching movies, and loves playing sports.

Madelyne Dunne - Assisted Living Assistant

Our assisted living assistant is Madelyne Dume. Madelyne is from Haiti and has lived in the United States for 20 years. She is fluent in French, Creole, and English. Madelyne has been a member of the Parsons House Cypress family for six years. Beginning as a care manager, she moved to med-tech and is now an assisted living assistant.
